There is no doubting that there is more soccer on television in the United Sates than there ever was and GolTV is a major part of that. The 24/7 soccer channel is growing every week with new programs and more league coverage. We had the opportunity to discuss the channel and its future with Phil Schoen from the channel's weekly program, 'American Soccer.' Here's what he said: [continue...]
SL Interview: Frank DuRoss
President Rochester Rhinos
With all the recent news about MLS stadiums and expansion, I thought I'd do a follow-up interview with one of our favorite people in the USL, Frank DuRoss, President of the Rochester Rhinos. I wanted to ask Frank about his team's current form, but also to ask about the production of Paetec Park and the clubs possible future as an MLS expansion team. Here's how it went: [continue...]
SL Interview: Peter Wilt
GM Chicago Fire
Peter Wilt has long been a favorite of SoccerLoop.com. As saddened as we were by the news of Mr. Wilt having to step down at season's end, we're optimistic about where his future will take him. Peter has been quiet lately and we certainly don't want him stepping out of the light so we decided to catch up with him to see what has been going on and where he will be going. Here it is... SL Interview: Bill Sedgewick
M Rochester Raging Rhinos
Bill Sedgewick is a 'man' among players within the professional ranks of soccer in the United States.
The Rochester Raging Rhinos Midfielder has decided to make great use of his off-season by training for
the L.A. Marathon all for a good cause.
Sedgewick, whom is a propionate for cancer awareness in Rochester,
has taken his role as a teammate to another level by launching the 'Strides for Shaun' campaign.
Rhinos
teammate, Shaun Tsakiris, was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer and Sedgewick has decided to
run the 26+ mile marathon to raise awareness and funds.
The marathon will take place this coming Sunday, March 6th. Donations will be accepted at the Raging Rhinos
office (333 N. Plymouth Ave.) Visit the LA Marathon website at www.lamarathon.com.

SL Interview: Jacob Coggins
Forward, Charlotte Eagles USL 2nd Division
Maybe you haven't heard his name until his recent call-up to the U.S. Men's National Team, but Jacob Coggins has been scoring goals for the Second Division's Charlotte Eagles for six seasons. Jacob went straight from high school to the professional ranks and then the National Team. We decided to ask Jacob a few questions about his recent adventure with the Nats and his "soccer story". Check it out:
SL Interview: Steve Pastorino

After just completing an interview with Whit Haskel from CD Chivas USA, we felt it necessary to get the other new GM's position on where his team stands and more importantly where they are going. Steve Pastorino, the first General Manager for expansion Real Salt Lake. Steve gives some insight into the team's current stadium situation as well as details on player personnel. Check it out:
SL Interview: Whit Haskel
GM CD Chivas USA
Whit Haskel was named as the first General Manager in Club Deportivo Chivas USA history last fall. Since then he has been focused on putting together a front office staff, a competitive team and the seeds of what he expects to be a storied future for the club. I had the opportunity to ask Whit some questions regarding the future of the team and it’s rivalries and he expectations for year one. Here’s how it went:
SL Interview: Alexi Lalas
GM San Jose Earthquakes
A lot has happened this past year for the San Jose Earthquakes. The team struggled throughout 2004 and lost many key players during the off-season including Landon Donovan, Jeff Agoos, Ramiro Corrales, and Richard Mulrooney. On top of that, the team is almost desperately seeking investors to keep the team in San Jose or they could be on the move to a new city. Through it all, Alexi Lalas has kept that familiar flair and excitement that he has become known for and he's even optimistic about the team's chances in 2005. Here's how it went:
SL Interview: Kevin Ross
adidas Soccer Business Manager
SoccerLoop.com returns from its January break with an interview with Kevin Ross from adidas. The $150,000,000.00 sponsorship deal between MLS and adidas seems very intriguing for the growth of the sport in this country. Much of the deal was explained in the press conference, however we wanted to see if there were any further details that went unmentioned. Here's how it went:
